Hey, Hey ladies. Are we back? We're back. The tech is working you guys. Welcome to episode number 64. It has been a tech struggle. I feel like I'm never going to stop saying this, you guys, technology is growing at such a rapid pace and I am not a tech person, but I am so lucky to have people around me that are helping me and I'm so grateful that this technology exists, that I get to record this podcast each week and that you guys, no matter where you are in the world get to listen and learn and apply and use the tools that I teach. Okay, you guys I'm so happy you're back. Welcome to 2023. Are you excited? I am so excited for this year. Like bouncing excited. Like my body is vibrating. I am so excited. There is so many things on the calendar already in 2023 that are going to make this the best year of my life, literally up to this point. And it's my 40th year. I'm so excited about that. Okay, you guys, if you aren't that excited about 2023, I highly recommend that you stop what you're doing immediately and put some things on your calendar to be excited about whether they are traveling or trips or festival. I'm going to show a lot this year. We just bought our tickets. If you guys don't know what that is, it's like one of the biggest music festivals in Canada on the west coast. I've never been to a festival before. If you have tips. If you want to give me advice. Please send me an email. I want to know all the things.
I am loving music right now. I'm finding that it is such a release for me. It is such a de-stressor. If I'm having a day, if I'm feeling anxious, if I'm stressed, if I'm in a moment that I can't get out of my head in, I just turn on a song and dance for five minutes and I feel so much better. So you guys should join me, do the dance. It's awesome. Now I understand why Ellen dances at the beginning of each. It makes sense to me. Uh, embrace the movement. Okay. So that's on my calendar. We're doing so much in Lady Sculpt. If you haven't read my most recent Instagram post, there's a post to be sitting in a chair, looking like I'm having the most amazing time, uh, that's from a photo shoot. I did at the beginning, actually of 2022 with some billion photography the guys there are amazing. And, I haven't released any of the photos from that photo shoot and I was like, why not? And so that's the first one I'm releasing and there's going to be a bunch more to come. But with that post, I talked about what's happening in Lady Sculpt, in my business in 2023. And those are just a few of the things that we're doing It's going to be so good. I'm so excited. 2022 felt like a hard year. It felt like a growing year. I just recorded a bonus episode for you guys on growing pains, which you may have listened to already. It was definitely a year that I will look back on and see as a pivotal year. It almost felt like, you know how, when you pull back a slingshot, you have to like pull it backwards. Nice and slowly before you release it. And whatever is in, it goes flying forward. I feel like 2022 was a slingshot year for me. It was the year that got slowly pulled back. It felt like no matter what I did. I wasn't moving forward. Even though I look back and we did progress and there was things that happened, but everything that we did last year was in preparation for what is going to happen this year. It's so much goodness. I also want to send a shout out there to a few of my friends who really follow astrology and the lunar cycles and,have been telling me for the last like six months. Maybe longer than that, that apparently last year there was like seven planets in retrograde. So I'm not alone in this. So if you also felt like last year was like a sludge year where you were just like, moving through sledge and not getting anywhere, or you felt like you were being pulled backwards in a sense, there's a reason for it. That's bigger than us. And apparently now, you know, all those retrogrades have lifted and we are ready to go. So let's go. Right.
Okay. So episode 64. So I'm continuing now with the series on what I offer different tools classes and courses that you can work with me on that you know, we'll help you up level what you're already living here on the Lady Sculpt Lifestyle Podcast. So what I want to talk to you today about is my Transformation Masterclass. Now, some of you who have been following me for a long time and have come to a lot of the things I've offered will know this as the Transformation Workshop. I decided to rename it masterclass because it seems more fitting to me. The Transformation Masterclass is literally a deep dive in everything mindset, macro nutrition, and muscle development. It is some of the most important tools that I teach in the 16 Week Transformation Program plus a few more designed to help you make a transformation immediately. I have had people come to my Transformation Workshop when I hosted it in person and email me a few months later letting me know that that one day change their lives and they have lost 20, 30, 40 pounds. I've had people come to that workshop and start their process on their own and then decide to join us in the Transformation Program, the 16 Week Program that I offer starting next week, you guys. There's still time to register and have had tremendous success. I've also had people go through transformation program and then do the masterclass afterwards as a refresher. And just a reminder because these tools are so new to us. They're so different from what we're taught from what the media tells us from the systemic way that we were brought up, that it doesn't always sink in. We learned it the first time. When I went through my life coaching certification, I had been following and working with my life coach for over two years. And I went through it and there was things that I was like, oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Right. It was mind blowing. And I'm going back through my certification binder now cause I have to recertify next week. And again, it's like, oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Light bulb, light bulb, light bulb. And I know this is true for my clients as well. It's one of the reasons why. I repeat what I teach so often. And one of the reasons I really encourage you guys to listen to podcast episodes more than once. If you have an episode that you're like, oh, I need to apply this to my life. I need to remember this episode. I need to go home and write these things down. Make a note of it. Set a reminder in your phone and an alarm clock to relisten to it. There are podcast episodes my coach has released that I've listened to a dozen times because creating neural pathways in our head, new neural pathways. Like our brain is so flexible and so elastic that we can literally change who we are. We can change our routines change your habits to literally create a brand new version of ourselves. But in order to do that, we have to stay on top of it. We have to keep driving down that new road. We have to keep choosing that new path. And it's so easy to maneuver back to old paths. So this is just an accessory class to everything else I teach. It's an accessory class to lady sculpt. It's an accessory class to the 16 Week Transformation Program. And it's also just a really good introduction to everything I offer. So I want to talk to you guys a little bit about this masterclass. And I want to let you know, when this podcast releases on Wednesday, January 11th. I'll actually just be finishing teaching it. I'm teaching it in Lady Sculpt and I've offered it as a bonus to anyone who's signed up for the 16 Week Transformation Program, starting on the 16th. But we're recording it in a way that it's going to be available to purchase online. So you can just jump onto my website and started it's a three part series. We spend an entire session on mindset and then we do another session on nutrition and then we do another session on muscle development and we really go into transforming yourself, both in weight loss, or if you want to build muscles sculpt and develop your body. This is one of the only programs I offer. This is one of the only classes I offer in breaking down how I build and create workout programs. So if that's something that interests you you may want to get in on this.
So let's talk a little bit about this. I've got my workbook right here. When I originally created the transformation workshop slash masterclass. I'm starting to wonder if I should have renamed it. I'm so used to calling it the workshop. The reason I'm renaming it masterclass is because it is literally learning the foundations and mastering the foundations of transformation. It just makes more sense. So when I originally created this workshop, I wanted there to be like worksheets. I wanted people to actually have to do the work in the workshop in the class and start the process of change. So I was writing the notes and the things that I would say, well people were doing each of the worksheets. And what I ended up with was a very thorough, 115 page manual for putting on the workshop and when I decided after sitting with it for a little bit is why would I just give somebody, you know, 25 worksheets and teach this class? Why not just give them the entire manual. Why not just give them what I'm going to say and all of it. So that if they want to redo it at any point in their life, they have it all there. So the workbook you get doesn't even require the video content that I'm recording this week. That goes along with it. That's just me, literally reading the workbook out to you and helping you with the exercises and giving you examples and answering questions for those of you who are there live. But this workbook. Like printing it off is important and doing the exercises is super important.
We're going to go through everything that's included in the masterclass. Are you guys ready? So we start off with the mindset piece and the main six topics that we're going to go through in the mindset piece is your human brain. Why it works the way it works. Now, we've done a podcast episode on this. So you guys should already know about like your primitive versus your prefrontal. Right. But we're going to deep dive into it and do exercises on it and talk about it. We go into circumstances are always neutral. This is a part of the model that I learned at the life coach school and how I choose to mindset coach. Circumstances are always neutral is the idea that everything that happens in our life is neutral. There is no feeling attached to any of it until we have a thought about it. So circumstances, no matter what they are, someone breaking into your car, your child getting into a fight, winning the lottery, forgetting your car keys, like anything you can think of is neutral. Until you have a thought about it that creates a feeling around it. Right. So let's say like forgetting your car keys. People would be like, ah, so frustrating. No forgetting your car keys is not frustrating. Until you have the thought uh, so frustrating. I shouldn't have done that. Why did I do that? I'm an idiot, right? Which creates the feeling. Some people would forget their car keys and be like, oh, I just having a day. This is just me. This is who I am. Right. They'd be accepting of it. Right. That thought would create a feeling of acceptance or somebody might forget their car keys and have the thought I might as well walk what a nice day to walk. Right. And then there might be gratitude that they forgot their car keys. So see how. The circumstance. Isn't good or bad or whatever. Until you have a thought about it. This is such an important mindset piece. You guys, when you can start understanding that you are very much in control of your feelings, that every single feeling you have is because of a thought in your head. And you get to decide which thoughts you want to believe and which thoughts you want to just be like? Nope, that doesn't serve me. I don't want that thought to turn into a feeling. Right. This is work. I mean, it takes so much practice. And I've been working on this for well over five years now and it's still, I still have moments where feelings are very much a reaction. Right. I got reaction where I don't have time to even think about the thought, [00:14:00] creating the feeling I have to go back and do the work after and be like, why did that happen? What came up for me there? What's going on? And I can do that from a really compassionate place and it's really allowed me to show up in my life in a way that feels really good. I feel like I've gotten to a place where I'm not reactive. Where I can really think about how I want to respond and how I want to feel when I make decisions. I don't make decisions from a place of scarcity or fear or desperation or urgency anymore. I take time and I'm like, how do I want to feel about making this decision, how do I want to feel about the outcome of this decision and one of my favorite sentences, I actually was talking to a friend about this, this weekend. He was talking to me about a situation he's in. He doesn't quite know how to respond or how to go forward with it. And I just, you know, said when I'm in a place like that, when [00:15:00] I'm trying to make a decision, especially about people. And I don't quite know how to move forward with it. The question I ask myself is always what would love do. And I know I can always move forward from a really good place when I asked myself that question.
Okay. If I keep going into each of the topics in this masterclass, this in-depth you guys, this is going to be like a three hour episode. So we're going to, we're going to power through here. So circumstances are always neutral. Next, is generating thoughts on purpose. This is the key component in creating the feelings that you want. Which will eventually create the actions that you take and the results you want in your life. So learning to put purposeful thoughts in your brain is one of the best things you can learn. Next, we have creating new habits. So, how do you maneuver your life to create the lifestyle you want? Right. Creating new habits is a really important piece of that. Next, we go into why we eat to feel better. So this is a really big part of transformation in general. And it's something that I feel like all of us should learn. And if eating isn't your way of feeling better? All of us, all of us humans have a buffer. We use. Maybe you exercise to feel better, maybe you play video games to feel better. Maybe you gamble to feel better. Maybe you watch porn to feel better. Maybe you drink alcohol to feel better. Maybe you drugs to feel like we all have something of, we call them vices, right? That we use when we're having a shitty day to feel better. And we're going to talk about why we do that. And if we're doing it to a point where we're getting a net negative from it, are we doing it more than we'd like, do we feel addicted to it? Do we feel dependent on it to feel better. And we're going to talk about how you can make yourself feel better without having a dependency without using something.
We're going to talk about how to feel better from using your thoughts. And when it's inappropriate to do that, when you need to just like lean in to feeling negative. Lean into feeling the growing pains like I've been doing the last month. Right? And then the last topic we talk about in mindset is setting goals. And why that's important. And if you've been listening to this podcast from the beginning, you are pretty aware of how I feel about that and in this master class, I walk you through my process of doing that.
Okay. Day two or the second module is on macro nutrition. So we're going to talk about why diets don't work. I feel like that's like, The foundational stone of this podcast, right? You guys know this podcast is like battle cry against yo-yo dieting against fad dieting against any kind of dieting that isn't sustainable for you. If you can't commit to it for life, it's not gonna work. Right. It's not, it may do its job for as long as you're willing to commit to it. And then you're going to go right back to where you started. So why diets don't work? We're going to talk about the next one is what's my age again. This is about how important nutrition is in the world of anti-aging. How important nutrition is and how your body feels the inflammatory effect that nutrition can have on your body. We're going to talk about the language of macro nutrition. You guys, you know, I love this topic, right. Learning the math, understanding what your body needs, how to give it what it needs, how to research your body and really like dial in two exactly what your body needs for you to look and feel exactly the way you want to. Right. Understanding that language is so empowering. It's like going to another country and speaking fluent dialect. Right learning the language of macro nutrition is learning how to manage your body, learning how to manage your weight, learning how to feel the way you want to feel in your skin it's so important. Okay.
And last, we're going to talk about hydration and micronutrition, which is vitamins minerals electrolytes. So water and all of that. Goodness, we're going to deep dive into all of that. and then day three or module three. We're going to go into muscle development. We're going to talk about training. We're going to talk about do you need a personal trainer? What are personal trainers really good at. And when is it, you know, a good time to break free and do it on your own.
We're going to talk about cardio versus weight training and why both are beneficial and what they're beneficial for and when each should be added and taken away. And all of that. We're going to talk about exercise for results. So not just exercising for fitness, not just exercising for the sake of exercising, which a lot of people do. But literally exercising for the results you want. So really making purposeful choices about what you're choosing to do, and then showing up an exercising in a way that gives your body no choice, but to change. Right. So on we're going to talk about all of the muscle groups. You're going to learn some anatomy. Now this isn't a science class. I'm not a science teacher. I'm not going to break it down. Tendon my tendon muscle by muscle. We're not going to learn any Latin. I promise. We're just going to, you know, learn the difference between hamstring and a quadricep. Like what muscle groups create your thighs? We're gonna learn about the shoulder triad. We're going to learn about different muscles in your arms and how to train them each individually weight. What do you want to know that. That stuff's important. The more you know, the more you educate yourself on nutrition and fitness and mindset, the more empowered you're going to feel about your body and about changing your body and about living in your body and about loving your body. Oh my God. Can you guys hear the passion in my voice right now? I love what I teach. I love that you guys are here learning. And wanting to know more. Okay.
Next we're going to go over fountain of youth. I literally think that exercise is the fountain of youth exercise paired with nutrition, can keep you young for ever. I have met so many people in their fifties this year, as I get closer to 50, I have, you know, my friends are getting older, I'm meeting more people. And I like the circle around me as, you know, people kind of from the age of 30, all the way up to the age of 60, but the people I know in their fifties and nearing 60 that are in fitness, this includes my athletes in Lady Sculpt. If you guys haven't met Melissa, recently did a post about her on Instagram. She's 57. Maybe 56. I always get it wrong. Shit. So she she'll correct me. She'll send me a PM later today. This woman is like goals. I sat down with her and had coffee last week. She's going to help me facilitate the upcoming Sculpt Spartan weekend, which I'm so excited for. We're doing our first Lady Sculpt retreat this summer. And she's helping me cause it's her, her jam. It's her genius. And she sat down and she was telling me about how someone in their thirties approached her and told her that she was literally their goals, not their goals for when they're 57, but their goals for right now in their thirties. And I love that she has such an example of what is possible. She inspires me so much. And I know she inspires our entire membership and the women coming into our membership that are in their forties and fifties. So just a little shout out I love you Ms. Melissa Pace. All right. Fountain of youth and then last we're going to go over designing your own exercise protocol, how to literally put together and create a workout program for the results you want. What? Yup. This is the only class that I teach that in. In Lady Sculpt in transformation in everything I offer. The workout programs are designed for you to give you a very specific result. That is what people pay in Lady Sculpt for is those customized programs. So they don't have to think about it, but I know that there are definitely women in Lady Sculpt that want to know how to put those programs together. There are women in Lady Sculpt who are currently going through personal training certifications right now to learn to do that. And I think that it is one of the most empowering things you can learn as an athlete, as someone who's into a gym and you don't have your phone with you, or you don't have a program put together for you or you don't have the right equipment for your program. Knowing and trusting that you can build a workout that will be effective and give you the results you want is empowering.
